Look - it's Dean!!! Yes, that lovely miner you see in the bottom left corner is none other than my favourite Munkustrap! After seeing Cats on the Olivier Awards, I admit, I went on a bit of a rampage. You see, whilst I love the new cast dearly, I do so so so miss my cast, in particular seeing Dean as Munkustrap, because honestly, I don't want to be mean, but I don't like the new Munkustrap's interpretation - and that's the way it goes in Cats sometimes because everyone has their own interpretation and preferences. But anyway, it made me determined to find out what Dean was up to because I missed him so much. And after a good hour of Googling the hell out the problem? I found a cast change announcement which mentioned Mr.Maynard as joining the Billy Elliot ensemble. Within a fortnight I'd written to him to wish him luck, booked my own ticket to see him and bought the train tickets. So even if I never warm to the new Munkustrap? He will always be the one I have to thank for some lovely new stage door memories!

Soap & Glory's 'Kick Ass Concealer' is a lifesaver! I started using it this year as my go-to theatre make-up. Even if I forget/don't have time to put on anything else, I will make sure I have time to apply this stuff, or at least I will remember to take it with me! It's always kept handy for my 'stage door survival kit' as it is by far the most reliable concealer I've ever used. It's durable, it blends so easily and, above all, it conceals pretty much anything you need concealing if you want to look good in photographs! I managed to scratch myself on the side of my face just before seeing the Cats 2013 UK Tour for the first time and picked this up on a whim as Boots were having a 3 for 2 offer on Soap & Glory stuff, and I like a lot of their other products so I decided it was worth a try. The scratch practically disappeared and, the best part was that, unlike my previous concealer, this stuff didn't melt at the very thought of the heavy, hot atmosphere of a theatre! I highly recommend this stuff if you're hoping to look your best at the stage door - only £10 from Boots and comes in different shades as well and the time it lasts for alone makes it worth the price.
